Development and demonstration Embedded Software Engineer. My client is a leading manufacture of cost effective picocellular GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G in-building infrastructure equipment. With strong technical expertise in digital radio hardware design, radio protocol software and IP Networking, my client has extensive experience in the design and deplyment of cellular picocells over broadband networks in many countries. Role overview. The engineering team has to frequently demonstrate our product capabilities to customers. This may require special modifications to the mainstream product to demonstrate customer requirements or adding specific product capabilities. The role: main tasks. Design, implement and test Embedded software for 3G and 2.xG products. Accompany the sales team and visit global customers and demonstrate our products General tasks. Support the mainstream product development as a member of the CPE team challenges. Sometimes working to tight deadlines. Essential requirements. Excellent Embedded Software Developer skills (C, C++). Hands-on debugging of Real Time systems. Expertise in either 2.xG or 3G/WCDMA (preferred).Expertise and experienced with TCP/IP Networks. Fast learner and efficient implementer. Good understanding or appreciation of hardware (microprocessors, TRx). Desirable requirements. Experience of developing Multi-threaded S/W to run on Linux/Solaris/Unix. Experience of SSL, SRTP, UDP etc for VOIP application.
